Duralex glass products are tempered to provide immense practicality. Invented by Duralex over 80 years ago, the tempering process of heating the glass to a temperature of 1292°F and then brutally cooling it creates a controlled stress/reaction, which improves most of its physical properties including resistance to mechanical stress and to thermal shocks.
